Obviously it didnt exactly answer the OPs original question but it would be unusual for a thread to remain exactly on topic throughout its history. I reread my post and feel it sounds a bit aggressive. I apologise as that was not how I meant it.

The original idea of gloryholes was that neither the giver or receiver knew the identity of the other person.

I still can't understand why anyone would want the restrictions of a gloryhole if they wanted to know who was on the otherside. However it is not that important and if they do, so be it, even if what they want isn't a gloryhole as originally intended.
