Is how you write posts/mails on fab comparable to how you speak In real life?

We've all seen the usual crew of "wanna fuck bb, am in ur area" but have you ever met someone who was totally different to their fab persona? I have on a couple of occasions, so much so that before meeting them I was a tad wary, but they were lovely.

I pretty much write the way I'd speak...but have you ever chatted anyone that you had to persevere with, and you were glad you did?

Interestng topic. We have found people who communicate well electronically are also able to do the same in real life. People who create bad impressions in messages/chat/forums have done the same if we met them. We've found it a good way of ing out the messers.

The ability to communicate effectively is VITAL in this game.

Having said that we have probably missed out on hot meets from people who misrepresent themselves through poor electronic communications, but cope much better in person.

We have found that some people can come across quite cocky and sure of themselves on forums and in messages. To be fair that cockiness can be off putting in itself. As yet we havent been proven wrong in our first instinct about many. I do believe though it is quite difficult to make the same assessment with regards to couple profiles. I think a lot tend to forget that there are two people and usually two very different personalities behind a couple profile. I would think that i write how i speak mostly, although initially i can be quite timid in a face to face meet, i can be quite a cheeky brat and i love nothing more than someone who is able for the teasing and winding up. I cant speak for Mr. Bossy though, not sure he can either cos i am currently sitting on his face

We'll as I say if people can't take u d way u are I say it's there's loss cos I aunt changing for them n I hate people who go on to laudy da over txt speak . But IDE never b rude r anything like it .

We find it funny how the accent comes through on some messages - like when people write 'yous' when referring to a couple.

I think i come across here pretty much how I am in reality, you should know Mr Mingo!

Regarding people ive met, they've all, pretty much been how I imagined them to be as I tend to chat quite a bit before I meet a guy.

I'm a hell of a lot quieter in person.on here its more difficult to get your point across without seeming like a bitch but in person I really don't give a shit. I get on with things and I get on with everyone I meet. I just love meeting new people.

To be honest, I struggle a lot with self confidence, especially in larger gatherings. The truth is, unless I've had a few drinks, I'd probably not talk to anyone I didn't already know....at least on here, you can express yourself a little easier, and chose your vocabulary more carefully, which is great for the initial contact and getting a feel for the other parties.

Saying that, I think I use a similar tone, vocabulary and everything else, when I do finally open my mouth! LOL

That would be similar to me alright. Can be very shy at times, seriously dislike the walking on eggs shells feeling you get with some. Vocabulary wise, what you see is what you get, sometime formal sometimes laced with slang! But I cannot fathom text speak. More likely to vomit on the screen than reply..... Cue many messages in text speak....

But I have met some people who I hadn't really spoken to that much and found that actually they had real problems with dyslexia and they found it really hard to chat by message but are so really lovely in real life. But I always try not to judge anyone until you meet them face to face as it can be so easy to misinterpret text

Id like to think that I communicate in text the same way I do in person.

We have on occasion been messaging with people here that are torture to communicate with and I'm afraid I dont usually continue the conversation. I find if it's very difficult in text then I just lose all interest.

If i dont click with them through messages i dont waste my time trying to meet them. Its all 50/50 here if you ask me. Communication has to work both ways. One person cant be doing all the work. Well something that happens to me on a regular basis... Although I don't think I express myself too badly by text but I get misinterpreted alot of the time, and I person well I think I'm not too bad

. I hope people that know me would agree!

Also I think alot of expression and the readers own mood affect the way the writer comes across in which part of the personality of the writer is that of the reader.... Some matrix shot right there

I'd be a lot shyer in real life than on here.On here you have time to give a response some consideration so I'd be a little bit more open than in real life, as I have a tendency to blurt out the first thing that pops into my head and regularly put my foot in it.

I do think a Profile Blurb does set the tone of how good a communicator someone is and I do respond better to someone who has put a little effort and imagination into theirs.

Moreover, it's once the chat starts to flow ... It's difficult to articulate (see what I did there ) but if I feel a spark with some lively and stimulating conversations then I pretty sure than any meets are going to be equally as good

Hhhhmmm I'm not sure if I'm different. People who have met me can comment on this. I'm not good with big crowds so while I'm quite outgoing I get lost in big crowds.

I guess some people are surprised to hear my accent because it's not always evident that I'm not Irish.

In reality I'm painfully shy and Mr. is very chatty but here I do most of the talking and he is the quiet one.

People who send us text speak messages tend to melt our brains so we haven't met any to find out if they speak the same way, but the people who were able to send decent messages were also great at making conversation. So far we haven't had any surprises
