I believe that being a good person is rewarded x 2. If it's helping a friend in work or being nice to your fellow swingers. Good things happen to good people.

Doing good is a reward in itself

I run a 'charity' helping people out etc, and its the best reward knowing I've helped out someone who is struggling

It is a reward .

When you help someone they will go out of there way to help you back.

Or help another person out rather than help you back

i regularly see this working in traffic,i let a guy out in front of me in busy traffic, they wave and smile usually and then they let someone out at next junction, cause they are feeling the love, and so it goes on.to me that's karma at work

who knows, maybe a little gesture like that, and it passing on,could save an accident happening much down the line, maybe 1 my loved ones could be in

same in life, your nice to someone, they feel good and do same to someone else, and so on,and much further down the line, without you knowing it,that goodwill you put out there could come back around to you

I wish that were the case with me when I did something really great for somebody.....it was out of this world great! Got nothing back.

I love helping others out and to do so with a good heart will always come back to you sevenfold.

I myself have been helped out by friends at the lowest ebb of my life and they never looked anything in return. Now I follow their example and do what I can for those in need in tribute to those who have helped me.

Should anyone need encouragement to help those in need then may I recommend the film "Pass it Forward"

Remember that helping out others is not just for Christmas.

Surely though, if you're helping someone out while thinking about how you're going to get something back, you're doing it in the wrong spirit? Virtue is its own reward, mar a deirtear.

I agree with the OP. I get a buzz or a lift from helping people and always try to where possible. I like to help people without being rewarded financially. I like to do good deeds on a regular basis, there's a definite 'feel good' factor. You get good karma too I believe.
