Exploring SM

Jump to newest

My recognised persona is one of Alpha Female but have recently discovered an uber submissive side which I am keen to develop further.

I've researched other sites aligned to Fet lifestyles but there appears to be so much etiquette and tradition that these seem a terrifying place to be without the direction of an experienced Dom...

My SM foray was discovered by chance through Fab and I doubt I'll be lucky enough to encounter that again. Any pointers or advice would be gratefully received - either via the thread or by pm.

If kink isn't your thing, please move on to the next thread. I (maybe naively) view Fab as a place where we are safe to have fun and explore our own little kinks, free from the judgment of others - so please don't burst my bubble by posting something judgemental or vicious

You could be very surprised. Myself and Ms.innocent are in the bdsm lifestyle and have never had any negative attention or attiude sent our way. Some years back however we were called a few rather unpleasant things on here by some now thankfully gone users.

Im also taking my first steps into bdsm. I was introduced to it last year and remained a voyeur. Recently however, I've been experimenting with being a Dom and have had some wonderful advice so far.

For someone with a personality the polar opposite, the power of dominating someone is intoxicating.

The first thing to be wary about is anyone, especially male, harking on about Mr Grey. Those books have terribly unsafe sub-dom practises that if replicated would lead to physical damage. Ive heard of two ladies on fabs NI being cut internally by a 50 shades novice who confessed after he hadnt a clue what he was at.

As a single fem the Nimneach socials are a good start as are expanding your own conceptions of what you want from submission. The Ages of Lulu is always a good starting point for some submissive thoughts.

As a sub you need to be clear on your boundaries, safe words and direction of play.. There are as many types of submissive as their are pairs of stilletto heels in the world. After that it is a matter of finding someone who is both experienced as a dom (test their knowledge, do they know rope work? Ask about their practices when it comes to intimate areas / pain) and who cares for your pleasure. The 50 Shades chancers think it is a way to inflict some porno abuse on a woman, the practised dom knows the real bonding in bondage is mental, not physical.

Just be careful, take your time and don't agree to anything with anyone until you're very certain you are safe.

If you want to come to nimhneach I'll gladly bring you along. It will give you a chance to see some bdsm in action in a very safe environment.

If you want to chat about it pm me any time.

It's all very exciting!

The poster above has made some good points. Would highly.recommend munches as they are a great way to.ease into the scene as its a vanilla environment and you can chat and learnfrom ppeople at them. Nimh is alsogood but dont allow aanyone to pressure you into play as sadly some people there can be pushy though just report them to the DMs. Take your time and explore what you like, whatever it is. Also not all doms use rope work as suggested to ask above, i domme and prefer restraints to rope but any decent genuine dom will have no issue with giving you references from people they have played with.previously though be wary of those who cant

Nobody has suggested 'all' doms use rope work. Some people simply misinterpret to advance themselves rather than aid the OP.

I was simply commenting on what you had said, just pointed out that not all doms use rope work so not generally a good question to ask though if they state it a better question to.ask would be who they learned it from, how long they been practicing and what their safety procedures are with it, as with any other kind of kink

It's a perfectly sensible question to ask given i was pointing out illustrative examples of questions to ask rather than an exhaustive list. After pre-made cuffs and restraints, rope is probably the most practised form of restraint. Of course there are many other questions to ask, such as if someone says 'i use chains' then asking about their sterilization procedures would be vital.

There are no 'bad' questions to ask when it comes to forming a submissive agreement. Nor are there any exhaustive lists. Nor did I state 'all dom's use rope'.

Hope thats clear.
