Isn't it very strange when a straight guy messages you, and you politely tell him you are not interested in single guys, that he replies, and I quote " you should be more clear on your profile "

Ehm the fact that I don't list single men in my profile isn't clear enough?

Im not into guys but i wouldn't block them in my filters as there is a few lads here who i chat with.

There are plenty of strange people on FAB and in the real life. Do not worry and just move on, would be my recommendation. You can block single guys from messaging you but that means that if you have single male friends on the site, the will not be able to message you through this place, just something to remember.

I'm quite sure you can talk to people on your friends list even if they'd be usually blocked by your filters

Just to confirm ... This is written on the message filter page:

PS. The filters don't apply and still people can message you if you...

Have mailed someone before (so if you mail someone you have otherwise filtered, they can reply)

Winked at someone (because if you wink we figure they should be able to reply)

Have them as a friend (because that makes sense)

it is a little confusing as you state your bi .. Looking for ladies couples. . You play straight if required. . Yep that's a little confusing
