I know we're very lucky compared to other countries as most companies here close Xmas Day and Stephen's Day and some New Years Day but I'm just wondering are there any Fabbers that will have to work over these holidays?

(I'm not asking what people do!)

This is the first year since I started working that I'll be able to enjoy Xmas as I'm currently not working. Quite looking forward to it this year and missing the madness that is working in retail during Xmas!

Dublin West

Some people don't mind working it. I myself would rather work it than spend Christmas on my own again.

Christmas can be a great time when you are surrounded by family and friends but for some that's not an option and it then can be a very lonely few days.

And people still get sick and babies will be born and thankfully there are lots of people that will keep the systems working.

So when you tucking into your Christmas dinner spare a thought for those that are working away in the background.

This is my first christmas alone, kids going to their dad. Thinking of volunteering for something. Don't fancy spending the day alone

it was mentioned before about a few singles meeting up for Xmas dinner so that people who are alone that day could all spend time together

A mate of mine has an open house Xmas day for singles / people who have no family around or just don't want to go home etc. Seems like a great day and think she's wonderful for doing it each year

I am blessed with a few days off around Christmas. It is going to be amazingly festive time with loads of home cooked super tasty food from my country and not only and with loads of wine and the company of my sibling and friends from Ireland. Cannot wait... Will start cooking a week before to have all prepared for those few days. Cannot fucking wait.

Yep, I'll be working Christmas Day,

A whole 24hr shift!

And on standby for most of the rest of the holiday period.

Not a single extra cent extra for it either, but I'm not complaining...

Might as well allow someone with family to be at home!
