My town

Today I am looking after my friends little boy. .

Nappies bottles it's not been that long since I had a young child but holy god I'm glad then days behind me.

Young babies are cute but I can't wait to hand him back.

mr.bossy's grand nephew just paid a visit. Not even 9 months old and hes a terrorist. Perfer them at that age cause they don't talk back. And yes mr.bossy is a grand uncle

you calling the toddler a terrorist really made me laugh out loud

I'm not good with small babies... sooo not into changing nappies. Now I get along with them and for some reason kids actually like me! It's probably a needy thing... because I don't pay them much attention they seek it! lol

Gosh reading this back, I'm a really terrible, cold hearted person, am I?

I know your just venting, and fair play to you for helping your friend out.

Ahh come on ladies, it sounds like you guys would rather live in an adults only world whilst you decompress from your time with the little people! ... I'm kidding, pun intended.

On a serious note, and I’m not suggesting any of you are associated with this, but what I don't get is that every kid basher was a kid themselves once. What has happened along the way that makes some people forget understanding or compassion.

I love spending time with kids, I love rolling up my sleeves and getting down on my knees, I talk to them the way I talk to my friends (no, not the one’s from here!) and I never dumb down the vocabulary for them, its a great way to pass on the knowledge, and they will ask if don't understand things. Thats what I really like about kids, they don't have our inhibitions about looking stupid.

I travel a lot, and I see mums and dads who are struggling with their hands full, trying to get through an airport loaded with luggage and kids, and its pretty sad to see people get up and move away or change seats on a flight to get away from them, sometimes I think its those people who need to grow up.

Sure there are times when even Mother Theresa can't calm a child down, but nothing gives greater pleasure than to bump into some humanity and help another person out.

Kids bring out the kid in me, the fun is contagious, its great fun to just be a kid again and do silly things! make some funny sounds, make them smile, everyone needs a dose of goo's and gaa's!

talk about making us feel bad, lickirish! ... I'm one of the ones who don't want to sit close to kids on a plane! Sorry, but I don't like to be kicked in the back and my hair being pulled throughout the duration of the flight. I just want my peace.

but I'm very empathetic with any parents trying to cope with a crying or badly behaving kid. And I always help them if I can. I just don't go all "goooo" and "gaaaa" when I see kids lol. It's just not me.
