Looking for some first hand information on the dialysis procedure and prep etc rather than the Internet .... Any insightful information would be very much appreciated

Don't want to cause offence, but would a medical professional not be better to give advice?

What kind of info do u need my family member works with that i could ask her if u like wont know till 2moro though as shes in bed

Medical professionals tell you half the story and I have had dealing in the past were I was told by a medial professional that I didn't need to know the details .... Just wondering if anyone on here had personal experience of it either a family member etc

ah that's fair enough, I hope you're ok. I say there are websites where people are sharing all their experiences

Whoever told you that you didn't need to know the details sounds unusually callous for a health professional. My experience is a lot different and my advice would be to speak to someone else.

Guess that's the difference between the nhs and the hse ... The hse like to put a plaster on a broken leg just so it shows they didn't completely neglect one... She was a rude renal nurse..

my father was on dialysis. there are two types from what I can remember the one where u go to the hospital and get hooked up a big machine the other is the type my dad was on it involves a bag in u stomach andva smaller portable machine at home.
