Is it the norm to verify a person of the same gender if you've played in their company, not with physically but as a participant in say a mmf etc

Is there anything 'normal' on this site???

I've seen those veris and I dont' see anything wrong with them. Sure I have veris from ladies who I haven't played with directly.

The ones that always raise alarm bells with us is the "met this guy and his partner" guy is always either bi or gay.

I don't see why not. Plenty of men meet at m&g's and become friends or at least it's to sat they are genuine it's just like been verified at a coffee meet.

What's your problem? Anybody can verify anybody. A veri is just to say that you are a real person and that you've met him/ her in person. It shouldn't be about playing skills at all even though a lot of people think it is! It's to state: this person is a guy and he's genuine!

A question is not a problem, it's a question.

Now in fairness he is only asking a question better than some of the stupid threads started lately.

Maybe there should be a different standard of verification for non sexual encounters?

I don't see why there should be!!!

Just a suggestion. I think the verification process is open for abuse in general because at the end of the day it's not really policed. You could effectively get verified, set up multiple accounts, verify them, then use them to verify yourself.

And then when everyone is verified, no one is!!!

Totally agree. But then it'd read some profiles that state they won't meet if you've only been verified by the same gender. So its a dammed if you do dammed if you don't type scenario!

My town

Totally agree nothing wrong getting verified from same sex if no playing involved.

A verify is to establish they are genuine anyway regardless if playing or not .

I would have no problems verifying, being verified, befriending other lads I have met at M&G, or on a party or other group play situation. Cannot be arsed about what others think. Verification means that I certify the other person is genuine and befriending means I know the person that is all. Small-minded people will try to make too far going conclusions. It's their right and I'd say: feck them.

Palookaville

I can't see why it should be a issue. I verify other women I have met at a m&g... Why shouldn't a guy do the same.... If he is worried what perception may be all he has to do is make it clear what the circumstances where ie met as part of a group play. .. At a m&g...at a party etc.
