Album that changed your life?

Fellow music lovers, what album changed your life?

Mine, cliched as it sounds is Metallica's black album. I was a teenager when it came out, and it literally got me into music more than anything else at the time.

Yes, "getting into them on justice" or earlier made you more cool, but they entered my life at that point.

Agreed, I got into grunge when it hit around the same time as metal, so i wasn't as pissed off that grunge killed off some bands as some might be, I was literally discovering new ones all the time.

"How did it change your life? "

It changed so much in my life from not being bothered with Music to spending six months back packing around Europe to hear Oasis and making amazing friends that I have to this day. Just a shame I might never see them together again which I think is really sad.

Slipknot's debut album.

Changed everything for me.

I only listened to it to try impress a guy because he liked them but I remember hearing it and just thinking "what is this???" and needing to hear it more and more and more.

It changed music for me

Fleetwood Mac, Rumours. When it first came out I was a 15 year old, the cassette version was in my first cars and I still have the cd in my car and on my mp3. It's been with me most of my life and I never tire of it

I'm also a big formula 1 fan and the guitar riff from "the chain" is synonymous with f1

Later in life i discovered what the lyrics meant, and it's stayed with me ever since it's the one Album i'd choose to save if i had to told the story of what it was like to grow up in the troubles.

I have two lif changing albums which I won't disclose as anyone that knows me will know at least one of these!

First album concreted a life long friendship! I'd give my soul to this friend if they asked!!

second album totally diff genre got me through some bad teenage years and and gave me a common interest with my crush and sparked the beginning of a long happy relationship/marriage

although I don't listen to either artisit as much nowadays they served their purpose gave me so many happy memories and sometimes if a song comes on the radio from either album I have been known to shed a happy tear!!

"So how did any of these albums change people's lives? "

**I stopped feeling bad for loving myself as much as I did (love myself more now).

**Realised there was only so much I could take from any one person.

**Started learning from my mistakes.

**I rely on myself more now.
