hot date tomorow and the girl I am taking out on the town likes a bit of meat.

Where does do the best steak and how much?

City Centre

Darwin's is outstanding and often overlooked cause of location. All good steaks will be pricey joints though so it's all in how much she is worth it lol! FXB probably the best priced of good steak places Shanaghans ( most expensive of all! ) and the Butchers Grill other great steak places. Mmh starvin now!!

Shanahans is your main man for steak. Unless she's a pretty classy Birdy she'll be uncomfortable here though.

Rustic stone is a great bet.

Marco Pierre White's new(ish) place in Donnybrook is nice, but the one in town gives you the added people watching bonus to avoid any silences.

If you wanted a slightly cheaper option Bull & Castle serve FX B meat. I've never been.

The hipster joint Bear offers weird cuts of meat.

Whatever you do though, don't ask for salt. Apparently there was some incident involving his wife and a pillar of salt. I read about it in some book or other.

I've been in it a few times and I've gone a long way out of my way to get to it. It has everything, from helpful friendly staff to great food and a great atmosphere. They're really child friendly as well, or at least they were when my offspring were kids. They were incredibly helpful with a fussy eater as well. No, I don't own the place!

I know, hence the clarification at the end. Someone was bound to think I had some connection. Feck it, I haven't been there in over a year. I feel a trip to Kilkenny coming on soon.
