i would agree with Kim on this we all find what works for ourselves without any help

i can remember when i was 16 or so i found a little lump on the lady bits and asked my mother what might it be

she said to me its more then likely just a spot ( it was )

but then she said how did i know it was there i said i felt it

and she said i should not be feeling myself down there lol

so my mom was a total prude ......

And now look at me

neither one of us was right or wrong we just found what was right for us

My kids will find what is right for them as well

limerick

I have two boys I'd hope they experience as much of life as their can , if they ask the right questions I answer as truthfully as I can. We raised them to respect others as they expect to be respected not to judge any body by race, religon, sex or preferences in life that's about all u can do give them the tools to make their own choices

Something in this thread has reminded me of the story of little Mary's mother arriving at little Johnny's house with Johnny by the ear. When the door opens she flings him in and starts having a go at his mother about how she caught them in Mary's bedroom playing doctors and nurses. "Ah sure, weren't we all curious about sex at that age?", says Johnny's mother.

I have an adult boy and girl and they were brought up likewise.

My daughter and I are going to see 50 Shades when it comes out in the cinema next year along with others and she said I wasn't to ask lots of questions about what is happening as I wouldn't understand most of it.....

I think that you can show kids that although sex and sexuality s a mature subject the should appreciate that there are many aspects people can enjoy or experiment with lovers. As long as there is mutual respect, safety and desire then enjoy.

One of my siblings is gay and When my kid asked questions I just said 'Hey some boys like girls and some like boys, some girls like boys and others like girls and some boys and girls like boys and girls. Just depends on what ever they like'. I may have likened it to the preference for mayonnaise or ketchup with chips. No big deal, just a different preference. I just hope that my one grows up to be happy and secure and not freaked out and worrying or ashamed of one aspect of their personality. Vive la difference!!

All our parents went bareback, they were hardly prudes despite what they told us.

They told us how they wanted to be, how they hoped we would be, pure.

Tell your kids gender and sexuality are two different things. Gender is if the person is male, female, or somewhere in between. Sexuality is who they like, male, female or both.

Then explain these things are in our mind. Our gender is in our mind, a boys mind can be in a girls body, and a boys mind can be in a girls body.

Somone with a boys mind can like boys, girls or both.

Tell them that no matter how they feel in their mind you love them, and give them a kiss.

Then ask them how they feel. Ask them how they would feel in the wrong body. Tell them there are people out there like that and they are afraid to tell anyone.

Little kids can handle this stuff, if they ewww and say yucky dont punish them, let them be kids, and explain it to them. If its an ongoing thing they should just end up thinking its normal.
