Is it still the case that in Southern Ireland you can't get points on an English license for Motoring offences ?

I know you can in Northern Ireland

kev,

Not sure about points but there's definetly a fine scenario irrespective of demographics, the Uk have outsourced a Company to ensure Irish Drivers that break speed limits in the Uk pay up.

It appears the same for Uk residents, my mate was home and got caught by a speed cam in the south. When he got back to Uk the notice awaited him.

Best keep within the limits.

Paddy

partner drives on a UK license ... just got points & a fine ... that said the car she was driving was registered in Ireland & the fine was sent to the owner ... I suppose she could have forgotten about it & waited to see what happens ... but as of now its 2 points for the next 3 years.
