We have attended a few swing clubs in Europe but have yet to attend any here in Ireland. The two most mentioned clubs seem to be The Venue and iKandi.

We were told a while back by other swingers who attended The Venue that there are no showers installed there (Which turned us off attending), and looking at the forums here it seems some have had issues with iKandi and/or it's management.

So what's the real story folks? Does The Venue have showers? Is iKandi a welcoming and enjoyable club, or does it only tailor to the so called "Swinging Elite" as mentioned in other posts?

Any advice regarding these clubs would be gratefully appreciated, either here on forums or via PM.

Iv never been to ikandi but after what they wrote up on there site I wouldn't go, the venue is great it was are first ever party we went to I had a great time there isn't showers no but u don't hav to play there u can always wait till u get back to ur hotel

Thanks ashanddave. What did iKandi put on their website that turned you off? Some people have said the same but nobody has posted what it is that iKandi stated on their website.

Ok well that is some seriously bad business practice by iKandi. We doubt we could ever attend such an obnoxiously managed club. Just read what AshandDave PM'd us and then seen the very insulting banner on iKandi's website about members of this site.

Good luck to them, they wont be getting their hands on our cash

Id recommend the venue, the hosts are 2 of the nicest people on fab and the venue itself is a great place and well kitted out apart from the showers

as for I kandi, I wouldnt darken the door, the hosts are rude and ignorant!

the venue ... yes no showers, not the most upmarket.. but the hosts are lovely ..really helpful with laughter n smiles all round.. and we think that important....

Being a nosey bint, I had to have a nosey... jeeesh... how self conscious would you feel in there!

I thought i was comfortable with myself until I read that... it appears the only "beef" they allow is with members of other communities/clubs lol

Who rubbed them up the wrong way?

Just read the post on IKanDI Web site . Am disgusted by it . I think any person on fab swingers would take offence to it or as they put it fatmingers.com , have been there once and had no problem with management . Just found it not to be our cup of tea. However after reading what they have on there site . If we ever decided to go to a club again it most definitely will not be there club

If I was into the club scene I would find out for myself.

Its quite obvious the comments posted here and on their website are a knee jerk reaction to comments and accusations made against them. And yes very unprofessional but its no different then what a lot of people do on here quite often.

The fact that this business has survived this long says a lot to me. They must be doing something right. I recommend finding out for yourself.

We have been to both the venue and I kandi....the venue is hosted by two really nice experienced swinger's it really is a shame about the showers because when we go to a club we do want to play..I am reluctant to mention I kandi as I feel it is giving them more publicity but we will never return there under the current management

People should make their own minds up about going and not be influenced by one view here. yes the hosts of ikandi need some shock therapy but equally the Venue needs to look at facilities from a health and safety point of view . Having being to both it world be great to have the best of both combined. People still have lots of fun in both. Enjoy whatever you do but also consider a weekend in UK . take in several clubs and still find it cheaper than the cost of going to either here.....
