We are hosting a Halloween Fancy-Dress M&G in a fantastic new location in Co. Cork on Saturday November 1st

This will be a teamed event ie. fancy dress but it will be up to yourselves and is not compulsory.

There will be prizes on the night for best dressed Lady and best dressed Gent so guys make an effort lol lol

Everyone is welcome so guy's and gals get your names down asap as the hotel has limited capacity

Now Single Guy's as ye all know there are so many of ye so please reserve your places and we will try fit as many of you in as we possibly can

Now all ye need to do is Mail us with a valid mobile number as all correspondence will be done via text closer to the event

One thing im gonna ask ye pls don't be telling ppl ye are booked in and ready to go as the event location has NOT been revealed as yet.!!!!!!!!!!!

All texts will be sent out with invites and details 3 weeks prior to the event

So if we don't have your mobile number get mailing us.

In the same way when the 'Spanish' faulty towers character Manuel (when shown in Spain) changes from Spanish to Mexican (according to a Spanish friend of mine). Both characters are racial stereotypes in my opinion but for some some people just laugh and don't think about the negative connotations. Maybe I'm more sensitive to stuff like that than some.

Have attended in the past and it was deplorable, I don't want to be invited or would I look for an invitation, one on one meets are way better. There is a click that has crept into the Irish scene, which has made it uninteresting in the main, so be it. Small gatherings are generally good too. Singles are also on the back foot from the word go at this big events, so why would one bother going if that's going to be the case.

I saw one chap at one of these events in Dublin a few years ago and he was annoyed that everyone there were in their own circle and because he was there on his own, he wasn't wanted because he had nothing to offer as such. When I saw this to be the case, I went home, but that chap had to stay at the hotel, so never again would I bother spending hard earned cash to be excluded through no fault of our own.

that's a shame he and yourself felt like that. I remember going to my first m&g on my own and feeling very similar until I got chatting to a few people and then I went to another and felt a little more comfortable. It takes time to get to know a few people and a good host/hostess will try and ensure a lone person make or female isn't left in that situation. I think chatting to people in the forums is also good because then at least you can arrange maybe to meet at one and not be so isolated. I can understand sometimes it appears a clique but I really don't know anyone on here that is like that. I chat to so many people on here and have become real friends with some. Don't let one bad experience colour your view. . It's like anything... Can be good or bad but a lot of what you get out of it depends on a number of things. Have fun anyway however you choose to use the site. .its your perogative hun.

what a load of utter tripe im a single im never on the back foot infact there are always lots of singles at these events so are we all on the back foot ? people are not going to fawn over you just because you turn up u still have to strike up conversation just like you do in any bar in the country the people who use the therm cliquey as a reason why they did'nt have a good night are more likely the ones the expected it to be a free for all with people jumping on them the second they said hi.

We go to every M&G we can go to and party we are asked to and we always make sure that every single person(single male, single female and cpls) are made welcome and comfortable as we were all new once..!

I do agree it is quiet rude of u to come onto the thread and say the things u have said. If you have a problem with M&G's I suggest u open your own thread and see what replies u get instead of ruining this one that has every single person here excited about the event..
