I am on a roll today with forum posts, must be a slow news day

Anyway, wondering what peoples thoughts are on verifications. If someone asks you to verify them surely it is only polite for them to verify you back? Is this something people care about even. I don't care about how many veris I have but just think it's the way things should be done on here. Yes I know, first world problems

Depends on how the meet goes, though demanding a verification is one way to guarantee that I don't give them, I'm contrary like that

If I'm looking at someone's veris I always look at what veri they left that person back.

Always interesting to see what they said or didn't say and can't help but wonder why they didn't leave one back if that's the case

That's it, only time anyone should feel the need to ask for a veri is if they aren't verified, otherwise best to wait until they are given!

I've been lucky and never had and meets that were disastrous, I've had crap ones lol but that's down to lack of chemistry.

I think the worst I left was "I can verify he is genuine" and left it at that

I think that is so rude, I have verified anyone who has verified us, it' just polite really and it takes a matter of minutes, not like anyone has to write an essay, though I have seen some veri's that read like the script from a porno lol

I do like to give someone a veri if I have met them (although I always ask first)and I've been lucky and met some amazing people. I am usually happy to get one back and consider it polite really for someone to do so and if it's not that favourable .. ah well. . Unless it was nasty or incorrect out of spite I would display it I think it's only right. .. I'm not everyone's cup of tea and not everyone would be mine but I would always be polite and positive unless they were a right dick.. In which case. . I wouldn't be meeting at all lol

.I have two I don't display but that's because they were made in error/name mix ups after m&gs and weren't for me. .(.whoever Carol was at Dublin ,who drinks rum I got a lovely veri for ya.) ..Unfortunately despite both myself and posters explaining to admin they didn't remove them!

One of the reasons I went to the last meet and greet was so that I could be verified specifically as a genuine male. now thats done i dont really need veris that much any more (maybe one every six months for the people that REALLY need to see activity on a profile) so I say to anyone I meet now that I'll verify them if they want but they're under no obligation to verify me back.

I was privy to a conversation about the "language" of veri's...a theory someone had at a party recently, but that might be similar to the first rule of fight club, so I'll say no more.
