Knappogue castle a beautiful irish....if want real good a vintage single malt but they quiet pricey.....mid range would be an 18yo Midelton or same in a redbreast....

Depends on where your staying....

Try Coleraine if you're up the North Coast , lovely for hot toddys , as is Powers.

Bushmills rather than Black Bush for a smooth tipple,again if your Uptop....I find the Black Bush leaves a mark on you the next day.

There's at least 2 dozen 'local' brands of whiskey that you won't find in supermarkets, ask in the locale you are staying in for local distilleries.

Powers is a decent blended whiskey.

A nice single malt is tyrconnell.

If peated whisky is your thing then try connemara peated single.

All 3 very nice drinks.
