August Avatar Challenge - 'Summer / Beach' theme - pics up by Friday! :-)

Ok I've been asked by some to set the new Avatar challenge. For those that don't already know, this is where a theme is set and people upload a pic as their avatar (main profile pic) to match with that theme. People then vote for which pic they think is the best.

For this challenge I'm setting a 'summer / beach' theme. This is open to interpretation but the idea came to me after the Carlow meet and greet got 'cancelled'. As that was to have a Hawaiian theme i figured lots of people might have outfits they would like to get some use of, those would match that theme but there are lots of other options too.

People have until 9pm this Friday to upload their pics. They need to email me or post on this thread before that to announce that they are entering.

I will then announce a list of those entering and open voting until 9pm on Sunday. Votes cast before that are discounted as we need to wait until all pics are up.

I'm proposing there will be three categories of winners. Male, Female and Couples. There will be an overall winner but also a winner of the remaining 2 categories (if you get me). The overall winners prize is to set the next challenge. For couples entering it would be best that both members of the couple are in the pic. If singles have to use camera timers so should couples lol. It also looks better I think.

Getting people to give one vote to each category might be hard to police / explain so I'd recommend each person can give three votes to whoever they want. The avatar with most votes wins. Each person can vote once only (when voting opens).

I appreciate that some people may see this as an angle for 'getting inside someone's pants' but I'd suggest that votes are for the best pic and not for the hottest girl/guy.

So get your thinking caps on, Happy snapping people and enjoy!!

When I said people should 'give three votes to whoever they want' I meant which three members they want as had been the case before. Three votes for one member counts as one vote. Yes I've seen people do that in the past but that's generally just horny boys

On the time thing I can't win. Some would say three or four days to take pics is enough. Others say its not enough. This was kinda pushed on me on Monday and after this weekend I'm going to be very busy for two weeks so it's either do it now or wait for a few weeks so I thought pics up by Friday was the best compromise under the circumstances.
