Not sure how many are gone but two I was following are gone bar one or two posts they were light hearted banter. If the offensive posts were removed fine let the fun continue yes we need some kind of moderate rule to prevent anarchy but is it a step to far

tbh there's really no point in taking the forum that seriously, it's a free site, people don't have to be here and the mods can pretty much do what they want, as far as im aware, someone asked for a ban, abused the mods and then got a ban, then lots of people also gave off about the mods, so they got bans too, I've had bans for feck all myself but giving off about it changes absolutely nothing.

I think an irish mod would be a great idea, I know of one thread yesterday that was a joke and obviously taken the wrong way. Our humour can be quite cutting and possibly doesn't translate well. Somebody who understands the nature of us would really help.

I would agree though that a lot more threads get removed here than on the main forums, and I have seen a lot worse being said on there and it doesn't get taken down.

To be fair he actually did ask for it.. I get its banter etc...But he asked and received what he wanted, sure enough its harsher than what he wanted but ya can't always pick and choose what you get...

I think an Irish moderator would be good as they would get our banter better!!!

I think it be a great idea than maybe the humour and banter might be understood. Harmless fun never hurt anyone.

While he did ask for it that thread I took it as a bit of fun like asking for a candy bar knowing U ain't getting it

I was thinking more of all the other threads that disappeared over the time I have being here yes there some that warrented it but others were pure fun

I really don't think an Irish mod would work. We're too small a community and dare i even say it 'cliquish'.

As for humour sometimes there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

But was it actually crossed considering the banter that followed

Yeah, because abusing someone who volunteers their time should be seen as a joke, sorry 'banter'. Please don't try & play the race card. Duffer was rude & abusive yesterday & got not only what was deserved but also what he asked for, don't forget that. Duffers are ten a penny, wait a week or two & someone else will be doing the 'look at me' act & he'll be the new hero.

I didn't read the banter that followed. I know I commented on the thread early yesterday morning but after that I wasn't on forum until later by then it was removed.

Can't say I ever got his humour either, I once made a joke and he seemed to think I was having a massive dig at him so I avoided his threads after that, so don't really know what exactly happened or why everyone was so angry about it.

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

How do you know the mods arent Irish?

As Admin dont allow threads discussing individuals bans Im going to have to close this sorry, but it might be worth people just re-reading the forum rules and remembering that calling it banter or a special sense of humour doesnt really stop something being abusive...

Don't be nasty

Abuse against other site users, mods or admin isn't tolerated.
