Today, leaving cert students receive their results. Can you remember how you were collecting yours?

I remember thinking, hope I do well enough to be rewarded with money to go out that night. Lol.

Priorities or what? Nothing about my future at all..

Well I can't say I know as I never sat my leaving lol sure I never even sat my Inter cert.. I was way too naughty.

dont think times have changed that much- no matter how well they do or don't for that matter -they ll all be out celebrating !

Yes they'll be celebrating but their thoughts collecting results has. Majority will be worried in case not enough points received.

I can remember mine and going to the temple that night. Cant remember much of the night doh. 13 years ago now. Jaysus!

Delighted my nephew got great results today.

I never done Leaving cert.

I done gcse in England.

I got a A in maths!!!! My parents was delighted till they found out the "A" I got actually meant absent

He has a fulltime job now which is the best result all round

I did it thirty years ago and did fairly well but had no interest in going to university at the time so I wasn't too bothered about it. There was no culture of third level education in the area at the time. Everyone wants to go now.

I was far too clever for school so i left when i was 14. i did go back and got my degree but that was in my late 20's.
