I just heard on the radio that he committed suicide. I'm stunned. He was suffering depression for many years.

May he rest in peace

That's tragic. I never liked his acting style much though, but he was certainly popular. Aging actors probably suffer extra stress trying to stay in the game.

My daughter just rang me about it!...

SHOCKED!!

Was only watching 'Awakenings' last night!!

Such a shame!!

Depression is such a well hidden but common condition, many people don't realise the demons that someone is going through!

It really is good to talk!!

Oh no! I'd say depression very common with comedians, to be as manic (in a comic sense) as him you'd have to have mental health problems or an imbalance of some sort perhaps so when you think about it maybe it's not too surprising, although obviously it's terrible if it's true, oh dear!
