I've been chatting to a guy since before my holiday. We agreed to meet when I got home. So we settled on tomorrow. Said he'd book the hotel.

I have a feeling he is gonna cancel but I'm going to play along for my own amusement

He doesn't use the forums so don't need to worry about him seeing this post.

Maybe he just doesnt want to do the hotel thing? I know its not my preference...with a hotel meet, you're pretty much committed to spending the night with the person, sounds good in theory but both parties may not want that. Why not suggest one of you accommodates instead? Could be a brief meet then if required. Thats always my preference for a first meet

I'm open to social meets too but this is the option we decided on. I never accommodate and would never meet a man in his house. So hotels are what I do. No complaints so far

My advice still applies though...do your best to accommodate. If its a security thing youre worried about, fair enough i can understand that, but prepare for the odd cancellation then! On the other hand, no guy will back out of calling over to your place for a bit of fun

Just to clarify, in my responses above, i wasnt advising her to do anything...just letting her know that is the way i believe guys prefer to meet and as a result less chance of a cancellation

I wasn't being funny with you or getting a dig in at you .. I can appreciate it's easier and less chance of someone not showing but it's also kinda dangerous on so many levels
