Is Verification by Webcam acceptable?

Personally, I feel not. It would be nice to have a poll option here?

Verifying or Verification surely implies that you've met?... Interested in other users thoughts? Bip

well we have 2 verifications and one is by cam,we dont go in for verifications all that much,we dont ask people we meet to verify us,so id agree that its not right,even doh we have one,lol

i would have to agree with you Bip, verification on the basis of chatting via webcam is not the same as the face to face in person meeting, however people do specify whether the meet has been via phone, webcam or in person.

Although personally I would only verify someone I have met in person for at least a coffee.

If the idea of verification is to out the messers then a verify should only be for a personal meeting.

^^^ agree alan re there is an option to choose in person, webcam and phone....

also, the webcam verification is nice too, cos some people enjoy only the virtual side of things...and sometimes if people havent pictures, u find out that they arent shy to webcam or talk on the phone...

But it is debatable as u say alan, does it really filter out "bad eggs"?

well I think if people indicate that they met in person, then it is unlikely the people are messers...that said it doesn't mean you may click, but at least if you arrange to meet for a drink they are very likely to turn up.

true meeting in person is alot different than chatting here some people can chat all night and still not hit it off tothe point of having fun,its a chemistry,but does that qualify you for a verification

should be acceptable as anyone can

put a webcam on nor should a fone call

be acceptable either xx

we dont verify people on cam as anyone can be on cam and that maybe about the extent of things that they will do. but saying that most people do verify me but I think it is too prove that there is a female in the couple on the cam.

can see the point of a cam verification for when you're first starting out, but the phone verification has always baffled me, all you can verify by phone is that you heard their voice, would personally rather see someone on cam rather than just hear their voice, at least on cam you can see if they are the person in their photos.

only way 2 verify is by meeting in person...and playing...2many verify ppl n say nice ppl cant wait 2 met again....ffs its a swinger site ...just get it on...then verify..

Hi

The whole point of cam verification is if your profile states your a cpl then yep stick the cam on to comfirm your a cpl and from there arrange a meet.

Like all on the site when we say we will meet then we will but it's a swingers site and we all on here all on here to meet for sexual fun

Swinging sites have a high percentage of fake 'couple' profiles where the female partner is either non existant or unwilling to participate in the 'lifestyle'. Verifying someones profile by either webcam or phone is a good way of finding out if both parties are genuine.

Word or warning on webcams though - It is extremely easy for someone to stream a video through webcam which appears to show the female. You should always ask people you've just met on webcam to give a sign or gesture to prove they are 'live' and its not a videostream.
