I agree. The flag is not for such things. Just like I never understood the whole 'union jack underpants' concept. Essentially they were wiping their arses in their flag... (No smart comments please).

A flag is a symbol of identity and pride (whichever flag is yours) and should be respected as such in my opinion. I only wave a flag at a gaa match or hang one from my house but wouldn't be wrapping it around myself. Flags aren't to touch the ground also I do believe. Isn't it a rule that if that happens they are to be replaced? I think that used be the case anyway.

I know sometimes flags are used in an aggressive way against other nations but personally I believe all flags should be respected for what they represent.

A flag on a naked body os massive symbolism on my opinion. It shows when iv nothing left i still have my nationality. And i don't believe if a flag touches the ground it to be disregarded may patriotic heroes have had coffins draped in tri colours as they rest above the grave

I've never posed in my national flag but never even thought that would offend anyone. I'm not very patriotic, having lived outside my home country for so long.

That normally makes people more patriotic !.

I don't mind people draped in the flag - but hate when any flag is dragged along the ground.

I think that some people will think it is disrespectful and some will think it is there way of showing their colours and support for their countries.

I myself wouldn't do the nude flag picture but I wouldn't give out about one done respectfully either.

As for the comment on the flag touching the ground having to be replaced I think this is an army way of installing pride in the flag or colours they fight for and under. I may be wrong but please don't shoot me

Yes it is ture the flag must be replaced if it touches the ground and can be a chargeable offence within the forces. A flag draped over a coffin does not touch the ground and there is a ceremony and drill for putting the flag on and taking off a coffin and it will not touch the ground

A flag is only an emblem/piece of fabric,

How many people in the UK and Great Britain call the flag a

"Union jack"???

Its not a union jack,a union jack is a naval flag, flown at the mast or bow of the warships etc

When its flown inland etc,

The flag is known as

"the union flag"

Just a bitta useless info i remembered from class
