Anyone else think it's like applying for a job?

So now that i'm sending out more mails to fems/couples as a single guy, it struck me today that a lot of profiles dont want "one liners". Now that's fair enough, but I find that if I structure a nice polite, informative (because i believe in being straight up with potential meets) message, it comes across like i'm applying for a job! (which i kind of am i suppose)

I stopped short of saying "I hope you consider me for the position!"

I can imagine a coffee meet now: "so mister mingo, your verifications are good, but why should we consider you for the position of fucking my wife?"

I have to agree with ya! You dont want to bore anyone to tears with a long message and you dont want to leave a short one! Its like a CV sometimes

Does it depend on what position you are looking to fill?

You seem to be mistaking me for flash Gordon's nemises.

While I am balding and have a beard I'm not him.

I do a good maniacal laugh though.

I've sent lots of "Cv". Some have been binned immediately some I've been invited for an interview and a second one at that due to my hard work and good performance. Ive being told i have good oral skils, and passed all my manual handling and that i could fill any position ive been told too that I'm too old or over qualified as well. But when it come yo hard graft im in there with my slieves rolled up ( and my pants rolled down) and giving 110% . Quality not quantity

I could not agree more!!! What also makes it worse is that women and couples that are verified will only meet verified people, I've been trying to meet verified people for a coffee and still no joy!!!! I don't understand how you can get verified if they won't nee you !!!!!!

I make no effort at all in messages anymore....you take the time, make the effort, attach pics, jump through whatever hoops they have as conditions for contact and a good 90% of couples and 99% of females, don't even have the manners to reply, with a polite 'no thankyou'. I take the time to thank the few that do reply, for having the manners to do so....

I agree with this it doesn't take much time at all to let someone know you're not interested or looking for guys at the moment. Very tough to get verified though unless someone takes a chance on you, but not sure I'd meet unverified guys if I was part of a couple looking for mmf. Tough one.

Hate to burst your bubble lads, but the same way that you're on this site for your needs, we're (and id imagine most other genuine couples) are on this site for theirs. If we don't like a guy, we'll politely tell him... But their is no way we're going to meet for coffee or anything else if were not 110% sure about it. I mean honestly ask yourselves guys, if you were in a long term serious relationship would you? And we're certainly not going to meet/verify through some sense of misplaced idea on another persons part that because they've tried really hard that its owed to them.

Dear Mr Mingo,

After careful consideration and deliberation we must inform you that you were unfortunate on this occasion due to the high number of quality applicants.

We hope you every success in your future

Go to meet and greets and socials. Meet people face to face so they can see you're decent and genuine! That way you can talk in person.

That's my advice. But sure what'd I know....

It's a lot like applying for a job.

Read the job description properly and don't just ignore the things you don't.like.

Don't lie - you'll be found out

Tailor your application separately for each job. It's harder work but better to apply properly for 10 posts and get one interview than to send 50 shit one liners and get ignored.

Lastly make the letter interesting so it gets read.
