Then u might b able to claim tax back at the end of year. If not all weeks the same. But seriously tax is tax. I make a month what Some make a week. I'm sure there are those getting min wage that wud agree I shud pay what I pay on tax tax tax. Wait til times get good again man. They will widen the tax bands again. And more will filter into ur pocket.

Or if u sensible get a pension and added payments in. Comes straight off ur tax bill.

Look into it son

A married couple with 5 kids

And u all pay the same amount of tax???

Fair is fair. Tax on income d fairest.

And yes USC is shit. But it's 1-2%.

And I work for a salary. Wish I was on hourly rate. Least I'd be paid for my hours worked. Not a magical 39.25 hours

There is a point here though....when you see that 20% or so of your tax goes to the hse and at the end of the year can say that you specifically gave 5k to that service....it just pisses you off even more that its so shit and emphasises the need for it to be reformed properly

Same here, self-employed tradesman in the woodworking sector, absolutely loved the design and manufacturing side of it.It was always a struggle financially as a small outfit, trying to keep cashflow steady always meant that everyone else gets paid before yourself, waiting on clients in the commercial sector to pay up,no matter what contracts were in place, just became a joke.

I now view the majority of so called "professionals" as liars, rogues and thieves who are good actors. The only guys worth their salt are the blokes and women who worked their way up through the trades the hard way and have true experience.

"When you race to the bottom of a barrel, the prize you receive are the dregs"

30 yrs since I started out, only idle for the past 2.

Well that is a little rant over for the moment.
