The story of the single guy who wasn't a timewaster

As some of you may know, Myself and Ms. Slut are playing separately for a little while due to work and logistical issues. (I would have posted this from my single profile but I can't yet)

So this week, I set out to see could i arrange some fun. I spotted that a couple we had been chatting were arranging a meet, and I politely asked them if i could be considered. They said they were organising a party for a few couples and hadn't considered single males, but I was more than welcome. Just to add, I had never met any of the invited parties, or the hosts before.

It was a tad nerve wracking to be the only single guy amongst all the couples, but I said to hell with it. So I met the hosts at the agreed place and time, and it soon became evident, that I was the only one to show. (some were trying to come but not certain, and some cancelled at the last minute)

So, the decision was made....MMF? sure let's do it! (and do it we did! ) If you're reading this guys, thanks again, and i'm NOT captioning that picture !!

It was a joking point throughout the night, that it's the single guys who get branded timewasters, but this time the single guy was the only one to show!

So, ladies and couples, there are guys out there, who will turn up and are genuine!

A but technically you're not a single guy though. You are and have arranged meets as a couple so you know what it's like. You (only in my opinion so don't shoot me) probably look at meets in a different way than the majority (yes not all as I know there are plenty of great single guys) of single guys who have different priorities.

Having met a married guy who plays as a couple and on his own (also with permission) I believe there is a different category for you guys.

I might be wrong but as a single fem on here that's just how I see it

you're right of course. Had I not been also part of a couple, I'd say it would have been much harder for me.

no, not really, but it sure helped my confidence and it gave me something to take back to our couples play.

Apologies if I'm gloating, but having played as both a single and a couple, I do feel guys sometimes get a bad rap....(and some deservedly so) so I just wanted to redress the balance a bit.

I'm not looking for praise, just to try to get people to not dismiss guys out of hand, and for guys to read this and go "well maybe if I take a more mature apporach, I'll be taken more seriously"

There are too many single guys out there that only want to live the lifestyle but just don't have the balls to do it in the end, they get all the way there but chicken out!

I had this happen to me just this week, guy in Derry who hosts party's every other month arranged a get together, all party's invited seemed keen, like usual he confirms the day before to give addresse and mob, only the single guys got back to him, couples and single fem read there messages and not a peep. I was in Dublin with work and rushed up to Derry for the party to get home get online to find the thing been canceled ... All cause no one but single guys confirmed, waste of time and weekend lol could of stayed in Dublin had a hotel room paid for and played but nope I wanted to be greedy lol

Genuine question Mefor, how differently would a single guy look at a mmf then a 'single guy' who's in a couple? What 'different priorities' would these two different guys have?

Surely boths priorities would be that the couple have a great time and they do too. As I said this is a genuine question as I'm not sure at all what you mean.....

I'm assuming you're on here as a single guy not in a couple?

Firstly I can only go on my own personal experiences and this is not generalising at all. I've found that men (controversial again but usually older) who are part of a couple who play singly too see their meet (female mostly) as how they'd want their partner to be treated and therefore do so. Single guys in MY experience don't have that added element in their pursuit.

I'm not getting at them for it just that I (my thoughts personally) think their priorities are more self serving.

But u arranged a meet with a couple u chatted to as a couple. Had it been a random one I'd be saying well done. The single guys who get the mmf following making the effort n putting in the ground work deserve the credit.

If that is your unfortunate experience then I can't argue with that (as I've only got my own experience to go by) but all I can say is that that 'generalisation' and the disrespectful frame of mind you've suggested some guys have does not describe me (a single guy who's been on the scene over 3 years) ..Not all single guys are like that, that's not 'how I roll'

totally agree! its usually the other way around for the single guys here!
