hosting a party do's and dont

I am sure this has been covered many times. If one was thinking of hosting a small private party, what are the do's and dont!

Invite more experienced swingers....sorry if offends but we have been to quite a few parties and there is less drama...now m&g's are alot different depends if its a sex party or social party...

We would do the same, invite the ones who have been to a few parties and know the score

Our parties are both social and sex party as would like to know how guests mix with each other.

Do invite the right mix of singles and couples (difficult to balance at times).

Don't allow them to get wasted off their faces as that never ends well

Do put out finger food and some mixers

Don't put out too much as it usually gets left behind

Do put on some decent music and have someone to look after it.

Don't put on a slow set

Do keep reminding people about the party , stay in touch without being too annoying. It means you have a better idea if they are going to be 'no shows'.

Don't invite too many newbies as more experienced people will be able to help keep the newbies at ease and ensure they're comfortable in a no pressure way.

And finally and most important of all..... do invite me!

Yes that is true...weve been to a few where we havent played...but its personal choice and great relaxed non pushy respectful people are what make it a great night...and not forgetting most importantly great hosts!!

so agree with _ilder1. been to a few myself and its great when things go well and organised you meet so many nice people at it.. the fun flows and chat. pick experienced or well known people on it.. your choice whom you like at it.. hope you have a great one

We concur woody is a great party host but think he deserves a rest and to take advantage of others hospitality...hats off to anyone that arranges parties and does it well... a lot of hard work xx
