1752 my mum side and 1800 still doing dads foind out my great grandad fout with lawerence of arbia in the first world war fairly interesting.

My uncle has my dad's side done can't remember how far back but would love to look into my mum's family tree. Like a lot of west coast Irish she has Spanish decendants.

I found out my ancestor was last man hanged in carlow for stealing sheep

Also my neighbours great grandad murdered my great great grandad just down the road and was never prosecuted for it

My great aunt did my maternal side, pack of thieves, rogues and landowners who changed their name to keep land

my dad did my paternal side, by all accounts my ancestor sat on the throne of England in 1402

We have ours back to the early 1700s on my mams side and 1750 on my dads. If u have family with uk connections their websites are a great help

Can get really far back on maternal side but only as far as my grandad on paternal side as we found out after he died that he was adopted and there are no other records

so we have no idea who we are as the family name is the adopted name

We had summit similar, my great great great granddad killed his brother with a hatchet.

The typical Kildare family tree has only a trunk with no side branches at all!

Have managed to get back to 1764 on my mums side and only 1800 on my dads. Found a branch of family that has one of the architects of the damn at Niagara Falls. Also found that I gave a great great aunt who won an academy award in the 40's.
