Before I start this isn't a nasty rant.

Last night was chatting to someone who just said I was married because I cannot accommodate. Is this the general assumption the ladies make?

My town

I certainly would not assume your married if you can't accommodate.

Plenty reasons people won't accommodate for.

It seems to be, however I think it is wiser not to accomodate as I don't want strangers knowing where I live, just cos you meet someone once doesn't mean you know them at all.

I'm more bothered by guys who say they can accommodate but if you plan to meet them there is always some flimsy excuse why they can't

Hey open, ltns

I do think guys get the raw end of the stick on this. It seems to be perfectly acceptable for a woman not to be able to accommodate, yet men are assumed to be married

Surely if you suspect a guy may be married its simple to ask rather then just assume?

I've no problem with a guy being upfront about not being able at accommodate. A lot of people have their reasons for not accommodating. I do ask guys if they are single etc. Most are honest but sometimes you get guys telling you they are single and can accommodate no problem but when you plan to meet up, then all of a sudden their sister/brother/best friends auntie etc has suddenly arrived unexpectedly to stay. However it's ok, they can get out for half an hour to meet you in the local deserted car park!

I'm single and live alone so I have accommodated in the past. I'm fussy about who I would accommodate and would arrange to meet in a bar or something first. There are risks in everything you just have to minimise them to what you're comfortable with. There would also be a risk if I met some randomer in a bar some weekend and brought her home for a d*unken shag (note to self, not done that in ages, rectify asap )

I don't think people assume that...we certainly don't. A lot of people, single and cpls choose not to have swing friends to their home. I think its perfectly reasonable

I'm very picky when it comes to accommodating. It's a huge risk.

I have been accused of being fake, timewaster, married and everything because I didn't want to accommodate or even worse I didn't let them come to my place straight away without ever having met them.

"I just can't be arsed hoovering."

I went to this guy's place - he was hot and I was about to devour him - until we arrived there and it was such a filthy, messy, gruesome place... I lost all my appetite.. for everything. I didn't even want to lean against a wall for a fuck, it was just manky.

Yeah but that's the extreme, like. Me being a week behind in the hoovering doesn't equate to that.

On 'another site' there was the same sort of bloke; nicely spoken in the chat rooms; witty profile; spoken about nicely by the ladies whom he'd travelled to see; all unravelled when he took someone back to his. Slums of India didn't have a patch on this guy's house.

ladies you are safer meeting a guy for the first time in s hotel. Because there's a paper trail if something should go wrong Always think safety. And for that reason some guys won't use Hotels

People are house sharing a lot more these days and well into their thirties - even forties, so it's kind of a different climate IMO

Oddly enough the reason I won't meet single guys in hotels is partly safety but more because the buggers often don't turn up!

get them to book the hotel then its up to u to turn up

unless ur very friendly with someone here i think its mad bring them home plus in a hotel u don't have to worry about changing the sheets or cleaning up or the neighbours well that is of course if its not the middle of the night and security ask to keep the noise down

Hotels are definitely best, means that if they turn out to be a nutter/stalker etc they don't know where you live! Although in the past I've ended up sitting in a hotel room by myself and having the pleasure of paying for it. So now my rule is, I'm happy to split costs but I'm not booking anything on my card!

We can agree to disagree. I of course have had little experience of keeping myself safe and getting to meet single guys
