My son is heading to his dad's for a week which leaves me at a loose end. Not keen on spending a whole week by myself at home. Was thinking off heading away for a few days. Has to be cheap. Any suggestions?

North Antrim coast,perhaps too close to home,though it is beautiful.May I suggest you head west to enniskillen,or perhaps further west,Sligo.

The garden of Ireland,co wicklow is stunning,bray on the coast a as good a base as any.

Or maybe you prefer warmer climes,try sunshine dot co dot UK,for cheap last minute getaways to the sun.

Love heading down to Sligo and that way. Was thinking more in line with that. love the sun but heading away at the end of july...
