he was charged with sexual assualt on young ladys during the late 70s and 80s.

To clarify doesn't matter who would have asked the question of the case. If you're unaware of it or the details perhaps inform yourself before making a comment, wether your on a forum or not, saves wasting time on the thread when all I want is to read people's comments in what they thought of the outcome of the trial.

I think he is 73, so 8 years is as good as a life sentence . But he is showing no remorse and has refused to apologize so lets hope it's not a easy 8,years for him

Basically over 30 years ago... it seems he had indecent assaulted 4 women... one as young as 15.. he was charged with 8 counts of indecent assault over an 8 year period.

They don't explain what the sexual assaults were. But it was not rape.

There has been no evidence that he has done anything since then.

That's pretty much the case.

So as the first lady said... is 8 years too little or too much for a sentence?

In reality the way the prisons work..he will only serve 4 years Max.

its just a shame tht its only cuming out now about him,how many more of these celebrities are or were abusing kids tht we dont know about?luk at tht scumbag jimmy saville and michael jackson,the public adored them and they were abusing kids all along,sickening!

I can assume there is a lot more as it was probably seen as "normal" back in the day, the subject is still taboo in areas of people's lives and communities which is why victims are scared to speak out and those who do come forward should be heard and allow justice
