Why do people send a wink and not a mail, and when u do reply with a mail, you never get a reply

Use to not wink much, but due to getting tired of no reply to longish messages referencing the lady in questions profile I starting sending winks if I don't think they'll bother replying or if they have no pics and very little info on their profile.

I get the whole winking thing, freddie doesn't. I try to explain a wink doesn't have to mean "I want to meet you" it can simply be a passive appreciation of profiles or pics. I've winked peoples profiles I know aren't compatible purely on the basis that I appreciated what they had written or liked a few pics! Like a thumbs up or "like" as you would on something on FriendFace
