Think its the fact they lost to Everton which puts the final nail in that coffin, they're saying that Gig's might temporarily take over. Who knows what will happen with this one!

Completely out of his depth, didnt know how to change a game, negative tactics and team selections like he put all the names in a hat and pulled out 10 plus De Gea , I think he should stay

you may be right but they may give him another season to turn it round rather than payout a 5 year contract

A 5 year severance is nothing compared to lost revenue from champions league qualification and the endorsements that accompany it.

I feel for the guy,but he was never right for utd.

As they are listed on the New york stock exchange as a plc they might have to announce on there first - though i might have imagined that

Fair point. aul Jose was the man for the job i think. Moyes was saddled with a team over the hill and brought in poor signings, if given another seaain he may turn it round. Man united really needed a young manager not afraid to be hid own man, for example that young man from Carnlough

There's supposedly a break clause in his contract, meaning United won't have to pay up in full, his £5m-a-year contract. It's just a matter of when, now, not if.

Heavily rumoured it will be announced tomorrow morning...

My lasting memory, will be his failure to select Giggs, for the ECL Quarter Final, which meant he missed out on the opportunity to equal Raul's record. Giggs had plenty to offer, with a wealth of experience, of such high pressure games and could maybe have made a difference. Schoolboy error, in a Comedy of Errors.......

Giggs is past this level and to pick him to equal a record would be pure stupid. The only possible lnput he'd have would be makin em weaker and then beaten by more, which they should have anyway. Pity they didn't play him then lol

Interestingly, the rumours are, the decision to get rid of Moyes was decided on February 25th, after the defeat to Olympiakos. The reason the board have delayed removing him until now, is purely financially motivated.

The mathematical impossibility of United finishing in the top four this season after their defeat to Everton, means United need only give Moyes a one-year-pay-off, under the terms of his five-year deal.

it's not "obsession"...it's rivalry, hatred in some cases maybe .....it goes on right through football so don't think manure are anything special having fans of another team enjoying their on and off field problems....

Some brilliant comments and good analysis on this topic in the forum but i dont agree sacking him, yes he had a shit year with players who are past their best and who used excuses like didnt want to play for moyes tatics, utter excuse for been shit, I would have thought let them go, the 5 or 6 players, give moyes money to buy a new defense and holding midfielder and a year to turn the club around, took fergie 5 yrs to build a team, ousting the alcoholics of united before.... Oh where did the academy go..... Lol

Dear brandy, I am writing to you, as it's my birthday really soon. I have a special birthday wish that you could maybe help me with. I wonder if you could pose for a picture for me, whilst wearing my signed Ryan Giggs shirt? Perhaps you could wear it all day and call snaps 'brother in law'? This would make me really happy on my birthday. Thanks....woody
