Should long term forum users with no meets or no intention of having meets be treated the same as active / verified forum users ??

I think the thought of possibly meeting face to face with other forum users is an active moderation in itself.

It doesn't bother me if anyone using the forums has been here quite a while with no meets. So what. I'd rather have the banter on forums then wasting my time private messaging (thats where I chat to potential meets). If that's all some like to do, as in comment on forums, no harm.

I think the unverified users are more free with the comments likely to cause trouble here ( not all of them ) which in turn winds up others resulting in bans etc ....

Imagine this forum was a social gathering in person, and someone walked in and started a conversation that stirred it up as we see daily, would you engage or walk away, I know I'd move on to the next person. I guess some people like the tussle.

I think a good moderator would smarten things up, keep things in check for all the others who are enjoying themselves.

Thankfully we've enough troubles in real life to worry about who can post and what they can post on these threads. Its all taken with a pinch of salt

We'd never allow ourselves to get annoyed by some "person", who we'd never meet, typing some message on a computer screen about us, either good or bad.

We joined this site to have wonderful sex with like-minded people and we're getting plenty of that here and having a ball.

Most people we meet dont even use the forum. Only a tiny percentage do. It may be selfish, but we use the forum for pure self entertainment. Never ceases to amaze us how much people reveal of themselves in the forum, how they're feeling, who they met, what they did when they met, who's the coolest, who's the kinkiest etc.

But again, we see it all as being fun, so keep 'em coming folks.

I'm the same, annoys me though when people have said not to give them attention because pretty much everyone does, be it actually allowing themselves to be riled or by taking the mickey out of them, it's still giving them attention, I haven't seen on knickersoaker thread that never had any replies ever !

Never made any assumption ever about you....quoted a statement from above which said because a person automatically wasnt verified.... Very untrue fact....nothing personal whatsoever but know first hand that is not the case

An assumption was made that anyone sending abuse has to be unverified. This is so not the case. Whether it be abuse on forum or pm, verified people are just as guilty...

I wouldn't want to stop unverified people from posting here, it would be a bit boring I think. I kind of agree with what has been said about being responsible for your own reaction. I get wound up sometimes, and I take full responsibility when I get banned for my reaction.

I think the problem Hal is describing highlights another issue for me. Maybe the penalty for being abusive whether publicly or in emails is not big enough to stop some people. After this has been reported, they should very quickly be stopped from emailing anyone else - for a long period or banned all together.
