The health authorities like to diagnose children with autistic tendacys. my advise is a independent physiological report and your child should get the help they deserve one to one early introvention is vital.

Her behaviour was terrible...but I had to ignore it I got chairs thrown at me bite it was a hard struggle hair pulled u name it. But by Me ignoring Her. It worked. And not just my girl..... im so proud of what she has achieved she's the most loving girl u could meet.... my youngest is brilliant with her I think it gives other siblings the understanding and awareness of disability whatever the condition is.

The classic signs of autism is no eye contact hand flapping walking on toes and high pitch screaming. My daughter had that so her autism was diagnosed as classical autism on the spectrum. Her speech to this day is limited but speaks when she has too. and sometimes says things im left with mouth opened.

I know its hard but bringing him into a shop and letting him have what he wants causes more problems he will expect it all the time. . I learnt that with my girl. I have carried her out of shops screaming people staring u know people are thinking spoilt bratt I have had dealings with autism for 14 yrs amm I can say it does get easier. This mothers days she made me a card wrote on it and signed it with her name and made me a flower out of tissue paper. . she adores the ground I walk on and I her. she has taught me sooo much.

"Sorry ive been late seeing this post..... Our 4 and a half year old boy is autistic...and we wouldnt change him for the world...he is the reason we gey up in the morning....actually we get up all nite 2...as he has no sleep patern...no speech as of yet...but he is trying...he is so happy in himself ...and so affectionate to us and close friends and family...we found when trying to get diagnosis we had to ask alot off questions and insist on been seeing regular as we had heard early intervention is best..... He is also very very choosey with foods... I must say his mum is the best in the world..patience of a saint...for putting up with him and me as we are both very testing at times.....lol If anyone had asked us 6 years ago what is autism we would have been baffled...today we still dont fully understand but when we see a child in a supermarket trowing a tantrum or screaming or hitting his or her mum we dont say that child needs a slap we say nothing only tell ourselves that child may have the spectrum....love our little man....R&C If anyone had said to us 6 years ago " my lil fella is so picky with foods 2 sometimes he wouldn eat anything frightens the crap outta me he's been seen by the early intervention team there the ones been so slow with his appointments I get so frustrated with them

"My son is dcd. Used to be diagnosed under the category of autism. It's accompanied often with ADHD. Thankfully my son isn't. Poor social skills, coordination problems etc. He's a very fussy eater. All bland foods like pasta and rice. Food needs to be seperated on plate. No sauces or gravy bar curry sauce. I can empathize with parents of children with autism. A lot of patience needed but the love and affection received makes it all worthwhile. " ye he won't touch sauces either all his food is made seprate from all ares, all the love and affection they gives defo makes every bit of it worth while
