IMO it's better to give no reply to a message then a blunt one that shows you have no interest in talking! Would you agree?

i don't mean it like that! I mean if someone says to you "much planned for the weekend and u reply "not a lot"! A vague bluentky answer gives me the impression a person doesn't want to talk and I often wonder why reply at all

And as for the number of mails I get.. I have filters in place which s out a lot of mail, especially the no newbies one. That gets rid of at least 20+ per day I'd say.

not nasty at all! It's the truth! the main point in my thread was why reply to a mail with a blunt answer, an answer which leaves things in limbo! If you have no interst! There is two things to do! Ignore or say something along the lines of thanks but no thanks! When ever in real life if asked how you are did you say "fine thanks" and nothing else, same applies here! Women go on about putting an "effort" into your opening mail! I'll tell you the truth! It doesn't make an iota of a difference! your profile, pictures and location determines whether she wants to chat or not! I speak to a few guys on here and they said countless times they have put "effort" into opening mails with no luck at any time! Here's an example of a boring blunt convo!

I was civil enough to reply, whether the response wasn't to your liking, that's a different story, at least I was polite, I took the same amount of time and effort as you, that's fair!

look, a normal reply to a "hey how's you" is "grand thanks what about yourself", not a blunt "grand"! it shows that u have no intention of progressing the convo
