Have to call to the church house this morning to (try) and get a Baptismal Cert from 8 years ago in orde for her to make her First Holy Communion. .

But I feel like such a hypocrite, all the harmless banter/jokes I make about them via social media as of late!

Lets hope the priest doesn't follow my twitter account!

I'm a complete fraud todays.

We got our first child christened and the next two we didn't

Reason being and this is no bull

The priest here in our town is fairly young at around 40yrs old

The first mass he said here 4 yrs ago he asked all unmarried people with kids to leave the church before he started talking shop

At communions and confirmations he has married people in the left side of the aisle and unmarried or divorced on the right side and this is where it gets more ridiculous

Any sponsor of a child who stands for confirmation and is unmarried must stand with there hands in an "X" signal

Needless to say numbers dropped rapidly at his services

Interesting. So you believe in something that is clearly unreal but you don't believe in an actual organisation. Confused.com.

How is it unreal??

I believe in god but not the church.

After all that went on why should anyone believe or put faith in the church??

I quit the church when I was 20. Where I come from you have to make this official as you pay church taxes if you're a part of a specific church.

I think I'm quite spiritual but I'm not into the whole organised religion thing.

I visited the graveyard of a Christian Brothers industrial school last year... 147 graves of little innocent boys.... says it all.

That's y we put our kids into a national school rather than a catholic school so it's not forced into them

They will make up there own minds when there older then and if they want to get christened and all the rest of it then that's there choice

Seems to be getting more and more common these days to
