you have started by getting photo verified, which is great.

As suggested above try and meet for coffee, Keep an eye out for meet and greets.

I'm yet to be verified but the last day or so chatting in the forums I seem to have clicked with one or two.

I'm hoping it won't take long. So my advice although not quite there yet would be to get involved in the forums and be yourself.

Go to a M&G. You dont have to be verified to book in.Chat to ppl and make sure you know their sitename. Discuss if they verify you and if they want you to do the same. Coffee very good start always as well. Some ppl cam and get verified. I personally dont just so you know lol
