the GAA they make enough money they could easily do it like the mls in the states every player is paid by the organisation. how many player could there by 32 counties by 30 thast only 960 players. so from all the money they make it wouldnt be to hard to cover

Hmm.. "they" presumably have stacks of money lying around in bank vaults then? The money that's taken in every year is put to good use already. If you want players to be paid you'll have to figure out where the extra money is going to come from. The money that "they" get is mostly from gate receipts (€29 million in 2013), and if you want to find money to pay players, gate prices will have to increase, or else County boards will have to finance it. Most County boards in the country are currently struggling, so I can't see that idea going down very well. I'm guessing you're only going to pay the fifteen players on the pitch on the day? What about the management, selectors, valid officials involved, the rest of the panel? Recipe for disaster, as well as destroying the whole gaa mentality.

. I think paying gaa players takes the fun out of it the players play for the love of the game not the money the expenses should be covered yes but as it is only a game we want it to be fun and exciting
