What does discretion mean to you?

To me it means not giving out peoples real names/job/location details etc to randomers on a swinging site!

All of the above with the inclusion of names of Hotels/meeting points or even locations (which seem to happen quite freely here)

When someone points out a persons location to someone or tells others where they are based.

Not mentioned on a forum but in person.

Also if out in town and if u see someone u have met with even briefly for a chat u just keep walking.

Dont go over to them. u never know who is close by from their real life.

it could cause major problems for them.

Not talking about the forum, I just heard my real name come back to me from someone who I have never met or chatted to before and it really annoyed me. I just feel people talk to much, and Ireland is small....

Have seen a few people give real names on verifications eg "met Vanessa last night and she was great" or " met John last night such a nice fella"

When there profile name is something completely different

Stick to the profile for anonymity

Gossip is like drinking. most like a bit of wine or beer but to much and you regret it in the morning!

If someone tells me something, I DO NOT repeat it. It's nice to chat about others but nothing that will put them in an awkward position or at worst case, even in danger.

Doesn't stop me asking though lol. So who done this, what did they do? Tell me more, tell me more, did you get very far,

I was out at my local new years eve with my bf we were sitting close to people i work with, people who come to my work place who i see every day and people who know my family, an older man who recognised me from my photos waited until my bf went to the bathroom and then sat down beside me and told me he loved my pictures that he wanked to them alot and would love a meet with me he was no way discrete and was not quiet about it either i was mortified and when we were leaving we had to walk past him and he stood up and tried to shake my hand and kiss my cheek while askin for a meet and could he add me as a friend on the site and then turned to my bf and tried to shake his hand and tell him i was a fine woman and loved my pictures i had to pull my bf out of the pub i was lucky he knew about fab

last week I saw a guy in a shop that I recognised from here (as facepic on his profile). I had a secret smile as a stood beside him in the queue... but one reason why I would never put my face pic up here!

I would never approach someone off here in the real world. If I was out and about and someone woudl recognise me they should never come and talk to me unless I make it very clear that they can. .

i have found alot of my personal info has come back to me and of course the threads in the past advertising all my details.discretion means nothing to some.i have only given my real name to a select few and my phone number to even less.nobody can be trusted in my opinion.i on the other hand keep my mouth shut and the only info i give out are my verifications.

Discretion means keeping your life (on and off here) private. minute you share just one bit of you - then thats it - discretion flies out the window

Sure you may no longer be the most popular person on here, but then I think "better safe then sorry"

if you want discretion it's you're own responsibility to a great degree i feel !

and putting face pics up and posting personals about you're life on here is a sure way to lose anonymity

I can see both the pros and cons of the topic of "discretion"

Pros - its obvious. Keeping fully discreet is a way of deterring stalkers/weirdos. No one actually needs to know your business

Cons - when a genuine person is trying to make convo, you want to get a jist of the person you can potentially meet. You can half gauge what the said person is like - ie. their personality and if they are outgoing enough in keeping a convo going, then they are pretty much the same face to face.

Things like that could make or break a good meet!!

All in my opinion of course
