I'm guessing there aren't too many Tigers or Chimps in Ireland but let's hear about yours.

I had a hermit crab when I was a kid & 2 snakes.

Here's a tip...if you start going bald, have little rabbits tattooed on your head.

'cos from a distance they look like hares!

I had two bearded dragons for about a year ,, I bought them off a friend but then after a while the female had enough and attacked the male and hacked off his leg !! She wasn't feeling it it and was sick of his sexual advances ( according to the vet ) I gave them to a guy who could house them separately . The vet did a great job ! So I guess I had a three legged bearded dragon .. Called Gabanna .. She was Dolce !!

Exotic enough ?

No, but it was a quare story all the same. I got him from a neighbour, but five years later another fella showed up and claimed he was his. Poor Neddy never expected to be caught in a tug of love at his age!

The hoors used to take them alright, as well as feckin' creamery cans that would be left at the side of the road.

.

I even got my cousin Jimmy to write a sad song about the loss of my dunkey, as cc pointed out. Unfortunately he got the sex of the donkey mixed up, so instead of "Leaving Neddy" we ended up with "Leaving Neidín". Whenever I hear Mary Black sing that line "as I leave behind Neidín" I feel all melancholic

I don't have any pets at the moment, except for mice which moved in since the neighbour moved away with their cat.

I had a gorgeous Angorra cat when I grew up. I had her for 21 years. I still miss her now

Besides that I had guinea pigs, bunnies, a beagle and a few more cats over the years, including a black one, so I'm not scared of them.

So nothing too exotic but a friend of mine had poisoneous spiders and snakes - in his bedroom. He was a sick bastard lol
