I didn't want to hijack Hal's thread so what is reasonable notice to cancel a meet???

Not counting emergencies.

Depends on situation, for me I would be happy with a day or two but then I'm single and don't need to rearrange babysitting etc

what do you think yourself candy?

tough one... as soon as the cancellation inconveniences me, I get annoyed. E.g. I may have arranged a shift swap so I can finish work earlier. In that case if they cancelled the day before this could already cause inconvenience.

But I probably say generally 24hrs is ok-ish. Later than that and there will be a cancellation charge

Hmmm? We always need a babysitter & I usually give them at least a weeks notice, so any less & I, like you get annoyed but I also understand that singles/non parents see things differently so I would say 72 hours.

I like the cancellation charge idea though!

Depends on the ppl involved i suppose. As some of you have said people have to arrange sitters or may need to book hotels etc, travel.

So as long as everyone communicates to each other it can range from meet to meet.

In the day/few hrs before is very inconvienant but then again there could be a valid reason

Communication between both is the key really.

yes that's why I mentioned the babysitter in hal's thread. It doesn't affect me but I can understand that parents need more notice than singles like me.

For me I have to arrange them for when the kids are at school and then get hubby out of the house, it can take some arrangeing and I think unless a real emergency any meets should be carried through. Or if you have no interest in the person why arrange a meet
