ok so people new here inexperienced etc BUT from what ive learnt on here is that women know how to take a good photo of themselves lol ive seen a few pics of women looking stunning with sexy bods and gorgeous faces and then got on cam and ... lets just say it was an anti climax lol so folks am I the only one id love to hear ur thoughts ... btw I know the fellas are prob juat as bad so no sexism lol

you need to realise that most women would put up flattering pictures of themselves. They're not deceiving but show them in the best light. In the real world there are not many perfect people. Do you want us to take pictures of our cellulite and wobbly bits just to we're 'realistic'?

You did the right thing and went on cam. When you then realise you may not fancy what you see, be polite and move on.

Now it has happened to me as well that someone sent a 10 year old picture to me. After seeing them in real life it was a thanks but no thanks.

Such is life.

I get your point, but don't think it came across the way you thought.

We all like to look our best and give a good first impression. It no crime to like being liked or complimented.

But being honest we dont always look our best all the time, and a pic or small webcam is not the best way to determine on comeliness, even knowing what we find attractive in a person is different for all of us.

From a personal perspective I am not photogenic and take crap pictures so there I deliberately take stupid bad pics. Any lady with the capability to see past that, then in my opinion she is worth getting to know better.

So only when you meet someone in person will you be able to tell what they are like. So its always going to be a big risk for both parties, which to me is half the fun of meeting someone new.

My pics are flattering but when I start talking to someone I send a full body shot but clothed. I just don't want to send fuilly naked pics to anyone. Not that I'm deceiving anyone but some things should be left to the imagination and for the people I choose to let me see naked on real life. I am very open about my size. Why pretending to be thinner or younger looking? The truth will come out in the end.

I do get your point. I like to keep my pics pretty much current. Lastest pics were taken 2 weeks ago, others at various times over the last year. I think they are pretty representative of me anyway. But the proof is meeting in the flesh and theres no hiding then.

agree,sum of my pics are a yr or a few months old but i still luk the same,my face pics are only wks old,i dont see the point of editing yur pics,if yur planning on meeting sumone in person they will see yur flaws anyway,honesty is the best policey

If their shape is important to you then best thing to do is either ask them for a pic and if they dont want to send one move on to the next profile, I don't think just because someone puts up a pic of themselves that is flattering means that they are tryin to deceive anyone necessarily, if you don't think their pics show enough, there's plenty on here that do, something for everyone

I don't think anyone has really taken offence. Some people just trying to explain to you that just because they have flattering pictures up and not showing their cellulite, stretch marks, close up of their pot bellies they're not deceiving anyone. I agree if the pics are old or they lost or gained +/- 15 pounds that would not be a correct reflection of what they look like.

So my 2cents worth! Obviously we all put up pics that we think we look good in! Lets be honest..take 20 to get one good one! Some of mine are from last weekend others from 4yrs ago either way they all represent me in different lights and angles same with pics of the hubby! i do however agree some of the photos on here are very misleading to what the person actually looks like for this reason we generally only meet people weve met previously at parties!

yea its the misleading pics im taljing about like I said before I could put pics on here of me last year on hols when I was flat out at the gym but thats not what I look like now ... I dnt expect anyone to put a bad pic up

Then, like happened at the start of the thread, when someone points this out he gets ganged up upon by the people who are affected by the honesty. a camera can only hide so much, ill be the first to admit that you can do alot to a photo...i do touch up, enchance and use light to help of course, and agree everybody wants to put their best foot forward, think everybody has something sexy about them and hell why not use it!!...but to your point ehich is valid....using a ten year old photo is very misleading...and as pointed out, if u cam or meet, kinda thing you are gonna notice....

I totally agree. If I make any changes its for me not for anyone else. I am not perfect (well not quite ) but I was brought up to have manners and not insult others looks etc as what is attractive to me might not be attractive to another.....

I have spent time chatting to people who think they are gods gift to men and to be brutally honest, when i have finally seen what they are like, even on a good day i wouldnt take them out the front door!! Im not an oil painting, but some ladies on here truly believe that because they have met some hunks on here, that in the real world, they can have a hunk too. When infact if the real world was fab, you can bet 90% of women on here wouldnt have a dog bark at them. And its funny that these ones are the ones who complain about time wasters etc!!

Im just glad there is a seriously awesome genuine few on here that are open minded and so laid back they are horizontal!!

depending on ones height a size 6 to 8 is slim,10 to 12 is classed as curvy,a size 14 to 18 is ample,and anything over a size 18 is large
