All the time!

Once you pay up front they don't care when you leave.

Just leave the key in the room.

would be great if they did hourly rates!! 2-3 hrs would be handy mmmmm

and not having to face the check out after would be good... I usually walk out of the hotel and let the guy take care of handing in the keys. I don't like the looks - I either get embarrassed or start laughing

No need to check out.

Just leave the key in the room and walk out as if you're goin to the shop.

such a beautiful and wise woman!!!

I kind of enjoy that naughty walk of shame out of the hotel. Like Madonna in the Justify My Love video.

€50 from 9am to 6pm in one hotel that I've been in. No credit card required. Book by phone and pay in cash on the day. It's great value.

Use the express checkout if worried...

If you don't want to face anyone just leave the key card in the room and go!

Some hotels have a 'snooze' stopover facility

Bewleys have a 3 or 4hr stopover but it's 30€

Most of the chains do day rates, 11 till 5. Not dear at all.

If you are looking an early morning meet the book the night before with late check out

As said before, no need to check out, just leave the keys ( and a tip to the cleaner. ) and walk
