Actually the word 'youse' is technically correct if not archaic, to address two or more people. The nordies use it a alot.

It has to be the above ie: hun and babes etc. Its either laziness, the same 'exciting' messages being sent to everyone, or just plain ignorance. I even have it mentioned on my profile as it bugs me soo much grrrrrrrrrrrrrr phew I'm calm now I have growled!

"ye" is in normal everyday use in much of rural Ireland, particularly in the south. Give me that anyday rather than westbrit Ross O'Carrol Kelly accents.

It's evolved over recent years in swing sites as a useful and polite word as it shows you know you are addressing both partners in a couple. A lot of desperate pervs email as though they've got a hotline straight through to the girl in the profile pictures.

Hope ye all enjoy the days getting longer now.
