do what we done, informed them the police had been notified and to post explicit pics is illegal distribution and the ack of blackmail carries a very hefty jail term, we called with out solicitor and phoned him from there, needless to say after being informed they would be a court case, and if found guilty he would be in deep dodo it all ended! work out ok for us

For Blackmail there has to be a demand for money and any picture that is not copyright marked and is posted in a public domain, is open to copying and publication by anyone.

this is shocking and distressing for the o p , best thing to do is to inform the culprit you will be taking advice from bothe the police and your solicitor , woody is correct , anything you upload to a website is in the public domain , however it would be a low sort of individual who threatens to post your sex life to facebook for all to see, lesson to be learned here , do not add random people from a n s a site to your personally identifiable social media streams . If i were the o p i would request admin suspend my account for the time being here and that will prevent any further copying of your images from this point on , if the fekker hasnt actually downloaded and stored them already , best of luck .

People don't need to be on your Facebook for them to copy paste your pics on there. Wouldn't want them on there whether you are tagged or not or any other website without your knowledge. There are sex sites who post pics from other sites.

This is the reason we never share face pics although we have been ridiculed for not doing so by other swingers.

Not friends on fb we're not that silly.we keep this separate. I dont give my number to guys.weve a separate email account and use kik so I thought we were protecting ourselves. Wont be giving our pictures anytime soon.very hard lesson to learn

Btw if anyone think posting pics, on sites that 'protect' your pics, such as other well known Swinging sites, is any safer......it's not!! All they do is disable Right Click on the image, ANY screen capture program can still copy them. Also be aware that your Cam sessions in chat can easily be recorded too. Bottom line, don't post or display anything that you don't want others to see, or that could identify you, or your home.......

worth mentioning also that that stupid sydney uni disclaimer is as useful as a fish on a bicycle and do not be fooled into a false sense of security that posting that on your profile somehow gives you immunity , from a legal standpoint it has no basis whatsoever .

We've been on swinging sites for nearly 10 years now, yes all of them! 99% of people are getting worse and worse and sloppier and sloppier about internet security. If you put a picture on any site, assume it will be all over the internet. People snatch pictures and upload them to porn sites to make them appear as productive active members, or they just collect them. It's getting more dangerous as the years go by.

Educate youself. Wipe all metadata and exif data off a pic before you upload it and if you use a smart phone be damn sure to turn off the gps data attached to a pic. We had a good look at a guys house on google street view after he sent us a pic from his iphone, our Mac just asked us if we'd like to see where the picture was taken!

Threats of blackmail are scandalous though and people will leave these sites in droves if it isn't stopped.

all my pics were taken off here n put on the notice boards of 3 local pubs, all because i wouldnt have sex with him, every body in my village was talking about me, i went to the police and they said they couldnt do anything about it, however they did talk to him, and put the fear of god up him and the harassment stopped, but i was shown up to every one in the village, your pics on here arnt safe at all xxx ruby

I have been treathened on here before with someone gonna use my photos , then they wiped their account , and I have no idea where my pics have ended up ,

I know people mite think I was stupid , but this was someone I was chatting to for months .

After reading this , that's it no more pics I'm deleting them now !

So sad a few assholes destroy it for genuine people

EXIF data, a file embedded in a digital photo with buckets of information about the camera and shot, sometimes including the name of the owner if they've registered it in the camera. Oh, and the date, so you can see if the picture is how they looked when they really were 49, lol. This is all a bit off topic but really just be more careful folks.

Wrong!!!!! doesn't have to be a demand for money to be blackmail, threat of any nature exposure even to gain favour or threat to obtain anything is blackmail even if it is just to reply to a message

There has to be a motive to gain something, if it's done out of pure Malice, it is NOT Blackmail but this is neither the time, or place to debate th semantics. What they did was wrong and that's all that matters

This is becoming all to frequent on here, last few weeks ive had a guy contact my friends claiming i have an std , then when reported him and he couldn't contact me he created a new one and put up my personal details, address and where i work and posted my pics! Again reported him and admin blocked him. Went to the bother if creating a new profile and i got up this morning and there he us again on a new profile giving out my personal details, i have been stressed to the max! Contacted the guards and have given them a written statement this afternoon in the hope this will stop this nutter.

always remember , these types of sites attract those with an axe to grind , individuals with questionable mental health issues and narccistic tendancies , not every one is balanced and harmless , always do your background checks on potential meets and satisfy yourself that they are trustable with any private information you give them . Hope you manage to extract yourself from the person .

I am wondering this as well, how do they find out where you work, who your friends are , what your facebook is, are they like stalkers or something? This is why I don't send face pics on here, don't give out any personal information, don't accomodate and certainly don't add them on facebook or give them my mobile number. You really have to protect yourself as much as possible on here , if you are concerned about people finding out.
