I've a patchy beard typical of a homeless man at the moment. I should trim it or remove it but I enjoy stroking my chin while I contemplate life.

I love my beard. It has many advantages : it instinctively lets me know where the nearest mountain is.

: it has dramatically increased my wood chopping capabilities.

: it is a natural bear repellant when camping in the woods.

: has quadrupled my attractiveness.

: acts as a homing beacon, attracting jealousy and admiration from the beardless.

Your chainsaw technique and skill vastly improves also upon growing said beard.

to be fair when i was a lumberjack my axe weilding ability was magnified via the required beard.

My main bother with growing a beard is my instincts kick in, i start dressung in animal pelts and try tp procure a longboat to head back to Scandanavia

"out of curiousity, roughly how long does it take to grow a beard?"

Mmm different for each man. If I don't shave for 3 days I got a nice short beard/stubble. Leave it a week and you gotta get the trimmers out to keep it tidy.

Had my last shave end of October. And have had to get the clippers no4 on it three times already!

I've never really had the balls to just go proper 'wild' and let the beast go natural for more than a couple of weeks. I keep saying I'm just gunna go mental and see how it goes! But end up shaving it off.

Strange thing is, when I shave I go oh that's good, then I'm clean shaven for a couple of weeks. Then I get bored and the stubble is back.. Then the beard.. Then clean shaven......

"out of curiousity, roughly how long does it take to grow a beard?"

like Badger said it differs from man to man. If/when i get any length of time off work i let it grow for the craic. Give me 2 weeks i can have a fairly serious beard

Facial hair on a guy always gets my interest, be it a bit of stubble or a full on beard, as long as it is well kept of course, I just want to touch it!
