Irish swing clubs

hey all kinda new here so hello

does anybody know how why there are no irish swinging clubs looks like our friends across the water have great fun at them! Is it sumthin legally over here or just because we're all prudes

most people in ireland are all talk and no play lol!!haha...am sure there is no restriction on pvt clubs!!

...I have a customer over in Dublin who is also a good friend & he had looked at a few sites around dublin with a view to openning a Swingers Club but he told me the restrictions were set by the Governement at the request of all the church groups togetherr with the Chuch of Ireland being the loudest objector. He asked why they had gay saunas then and was told that was governed by a different law and didn't encourage families to split through open sex between couples...Ffs what planet are they on....

There used to be a club in Greystones but it shut down a couple of years ago. I'm not aware of any other clubs in Ireland

If someone was to open a club outside Belfast,would anyone attend? Or would it be another flop,and alot of wasted money.

any venue will need a license and any license will be refused by the local council because people in Ireland - north and south - vote in politicians who don't believe in equality and personal freedom but in getting the church / moral vote.

Just look at Belfast's only lap-dancing venue - was refused a license as an adult venue so opened under a restaurant license and was closed down by the council at the first renewal when they realized what was going on.

People always ask us whats happening for cpls venues over here - we point out NI dosn't even have lapdancing never mind swinging venue nor even a similar venue to The Front Lounge in dub.

Think of that next time you vote.

Why would you need a linence?

Many clubs in UK don't serve alcohol therefore need to apply for a licence.

Free membership to politicians, judges, gardai and priests might go some way to changing rigid opinions.

Or invites to a well run club in Manchester or Birmingham?

Storm you still need a Licence to trade as a business...Yes you are right the swingers Clubs in the UK don't have an alcohol licence but that is only done to stop the police visiting whenever they feel like it...You also health health & safety licences which come from the govenment offices so once again back to the same arguments...As` I said in earlier post my friend did have some large premisses ready to go with but found too many obstacles in his way...I should add he has finacial interests in UK Clubs so knows what he is talking about...Also once again as I said the single biggest objector was the Church of Ireland....

...techically no you wouldn't have problems so long as you didn't run it as a business and charge people any fees...it would then just be classed as a private party...but you could be sure there would be officials & press doing some investigating to check out wether fees are being paid or not...
