Not taking away from from Dublin and their super second half display Who agrees that it was a very poor game of football.So many mistakes, No high fielding at midfield, poor attempts at scoring and rugby being played for the last 10min.

Rugby for the last ten minutes is a gross overstatement. There was one rugby tackle by Kevin Mac, but apart from that it was run of the mill stuff. You also have to allow for the fact that it was an unusually warm day for late September, and for the fact that Joe McQuillan is like yer man off Father Ted, and has a serious obsession with blowing his whistle. Don't get me started on the yellow card /point for Mayo incident involving Rory O Carroll! The two teams were pretty evenly matched, and that's the sort of game you get. as happened in the Dublin v kerry final in 2011, . The semi final this year spoiled us, I suspect.

i have to agree with you. the ref on the day had a bad game. 100% he had a big influence on the run of play. a lot expected from this game. no matter which way it turned out Dublin got the job done. it did get a bit scrappy towards the end but what do you expect there was a lot on the line for both teams. mayo done what they could. brogan was fantastic and well deserved man of the match his experience really showed through. mayo go home lick your wounds and let's hope we see you there next year. your day will come. congratulations to the Dubs. UP THE DUBS .
